Do I need a WhatsApp account?

Yes. ChezSûr uses WhatsApp for all communications, signup, verification, and contact between renters and agents.

Is there a hidden commission?

No. We take nothing from transactions between renters and agents. Our business model is the optional paid extras on the agent side.

Terms of service

Purpose

These terms define the rules for using the ChezSûr application and chezsur.com website, operated from Yaoundé, Cameroon. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms in full.

User account

To use ChezSûr you need a valid WhatsApp number and must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and the confidentiality of your access. An account cannot be shared with a third party.

Listings

Agents agree to publish accurate, up-to-date listings that comply with Cameroonian law. Listings are moderated before publication. ChezSûr reserves the right to refuse, modify or remove any misleading, incomplete, illegal or non-compliant listing.

Paid products

ChezSûr offers several paid products to agents:

Verified badge — FCFA 5,000 for 30 days. Displays a badge on the agent profile certifying identity verification.
PRO / BUSINESS subscriptions — Increase the number of active listings, add features (analytics, included featured slots). Pricing and duration specified in-app at subscription time.
Featured listings — Allows placing a listing at the top of search results for a set duration. Billed per day.

Payments are made via Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Orange Money). Payment is recorded manually by our team on receipt of proof. The subscription period starts at effective recording.

Amounts paid are non-refundable, except in case of error on our part or technical failure attributable to ChezSûr. At the end of the period, the subscription is not automatically renewed, you retain free access (5 listings max) and can renew at any time.

Referral program

Any agent can generate a referral code. When a new agent signs up with your code and subscribes to a paid product, you earn 20% of the amount paid, for life (on every payment the referred agent makes). The referred agent gets a 15% discount on their *first* subscription payment only; subsequent payments are at the standard rate. Commissions are credited to your affiliate balance and paid out via Mobile Money on request. Agents on a complimentary plan offered by ChezSûr (the "founder agent" program or discretionary compensation) cannot participate in the referral program while the comp plan is active — the two arrangements are mutually exclusive. ChezSûr reserves the right to change rates for new referrals, without retroactivity.

Moderation and suspension

ChezSûr reserves the right to moderate accounts and content to preserve service quality. This includes:

Refusing, modifying or removing any non-compliant listing.
Hiding or deleting an abusive, misleading or off-topic review.
Suspending an account for breaches (misleading listings, fake contacts, disputed payments). While suspended: the agent's listings are no longer visible on the platform, the agent cannot sign in to the app, and any new listing sent via WhatsApp (direct message or monitored group) is ignored.
Automatic deletion after 30 days. If the suspension is not lifted within 30 days, the account, its listings, its media (photos, videos, ID documents) and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted. Any unpaid affiliate balance is forfeited. To avoid deletion, contact ChezSûr during the suspension period to resolve the situation.

Reviews

Reviews are written by renters who contacted an agent via a listing. They reflect their author's opinion and do not engage ChezSûr. Any abusive, defamatory or off-topic review can be reported and will be moderated. An agent may report a review they consider abusive.

WhatsApp channel

ChezSûr communicates with users via WhatsApp. This channel is provided by a third party (WhatsApp / Meta) and we do not guarantee its continuous availability. Any communication via WhatsApp remains subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. In the event of WhatsApp channel disruption, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate by other means.

Liability

ChezSûr is a platform connecting renters and agents. We are not a party to the rental agreements or to payments between users (deposit, advance, visit fees, commission). We do not guarantee the accuracy of information published by agents, nor the actual availability of properties. Our liability cannot be engaged for indirect damages arising from use of the service.

Changes to terms

These terms may evolve. Significant changes will be notified via WhatsApp or in-app notification at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be submitted to the competent courts of Yaoundé, unless a mandatory provision states otherwise.
