Delete my ChezSûr account

You can ask us to delete your ChezSûr account and its data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what is kept.

How to request deletion

Easiest: in the app, go to Profile and tap "Delete my account". You can also write to us directly, from the phone number linked to your account where possible:

• WhatsApp : +237 657 16 66 87. Fastest. Just tell us you want your account deleted.
• Email : [email protected]. Include your account phone number in the message.

We check the request really comes from the account holder, then process it within 30 days. You get a confirmation once it is done.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted we permanently erase:

• Your profile: phone number, name, email, profile photo.
• Your listings and their photos and videos, if you are an agent. They leave search immediately.
• Your ID documents, if you had started an agent signup.
• Your favourites, alerts, search preferences and in-app browsing history.
• Your WhatsApp conversations with our bot, and your notifications.

What is kept

Two things outlive your deletion, for reasons outside our control:

• Messages you exchanged directly with an agent on their own WhatsApp. Those sit on their phone, not our servers. We cannot erase them.
• Accounting records tied to a payment (subscription, boost), kept in anonymised form for as long as Cameroonian law requires.

Deleting only some of your data

You can also ask us to delete only part of your data, such as your ID documents or your search history, without closing your account. Write to us the same way and tell us what to erase.
